Biography
Jan Samson Krizanic (*1995) is an Austrian drummer, composer, bandleader and multi- instrumentalist. He started playing the drums at the age of three. From 2015 to 2023 he studied Jazz Drums in the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. There he finished his Master studies with distinction.
He lives with the passion to connect with people through music.
Since 2019 he has been using his project High Touring as a platform for his compositions and artistic expression. The project varies in cast and size depending on the occasion.
In 2022 he released his debut album High Touring Collective with the High Touring 6tet. Three more singles followed in 2023 with Blues Nr. 5, Jambor and RUMSHOT.
The High Touring 6tet has been playing concerts in and around Austria since it was founded in 2021. Come see them live or book them!
Jan Samson Krizanic is also the bassist for the experimental metal trio Saugbagger. The band released the first album Weihnachten so schön und 10 weitere gottlose Banger in 2022 and the album Morbus Kobold in 2023. Check out their upcoming concerts!
With Fabian Supancic, Jan Samson Krizanic plays duo concerts with Hammon-Organ and Drums, on going since 2022.

In terms of style, Jan Samson Krizanic cannot be classified. His musical range extends far beyond the borders of jazz and improvised music, from operas of new music, to West African groove music, from grindcore to Beethoven, from reggae to the balkans.
In addition, Krizanic is part of the inclusion theater Theater INNklusiv and performes in Der Zerrissene in Schauspielhaus Graz.
He is also active as a Percussionist and Tubist in various bands and projects. Jan Samson Krizanic is currently living in Vienna as a freelance artist.

Discography
With High Touring, Jan Samson Krizanic presents his compositions, releases music and performes concerts in various formations. In 2022 he released his debut album High Touring Collective with the High Touring 6tet on for real music. The High Touring 6tet since then plays concerts around Austria.
The album is available on all streaming platforms and as a CD.
In 2023 Jan Samson Krizanic released three singles. Blues Nr. 5 with the High Touring Racing Team, JAMBOR in collorboration with Armin Jambor. As well as the drum duo RUMSHOT with Matheus Jardim.

Saugbagger is a experimental metal band formed in 2022. Based in vienna they released two albums in 2023. Morbus Kobold and Weihnachten so schön und 10 weitere gottlose Banger. On these releases they cooperated with Christopher Pawluk on guitar and Ellen Rose Kelly on vocals.
In may 2023 they did a performance with Eyal Maoz an Gerald Preinfalk in Armann Studios which will be released later this year.
